Outkast consists of two rappers Andre 3000 and Big Boi. These two friends go all the way back to ATL in the early 90's where they both went to Tri-Cities Schools in the East Point Area.
Andre (Andre 3000) Benjamin was a single child and lived with his mother for most of his life but then moved in with his father at the age of 15. Andre dropped out of high school during the 10th grade.
Antwan (Big Boi) Patton had severly brothers and sisters in Savannah. But when he was a teenager he moved out to Atlanta. Antwan finished high school and got his diploma.
They eventually started a group called "2 Shades Deep" They signed with L.A. Reid and Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds to the LaFace label. In 1993 they released their first record "Player's Ball. They went on and continued to receive awards for their music. In 2003 they won many awards for their record SpeakerBoxxx/The Love Below. They even won awards for best group, album and song. Hopefully they will continue with the great cd's and also continue making many more great albums to get them some more awards.
